Delhi-NCR winds at cleanest level in six years due to corona virus lockdown
The pollution level in Delhi-NCR has reduced considerably due
to the lockdown to prevent the increasing infection of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Good news has been received for the people of Delhi-NCR due to Corona virus according to the weather and pollution.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a nationwide lockdown
since March 21. Since then, private vehicles have stopped running on the roads
across the country. Only commercial vehicles carrying essential goods have been
allowed to land on the road. With this, construction work is banned in the
entire country. Due to this, the pollution level in the entire country as well
as Delhi and its surrounding areas has come down considerably. The whole of
India has come to a standstill due to Corona lockdown. Its direct effect is
visible on Delhi-NCR weather, pollution levels.
On Friday evening, the sky showed blue in Delhi-NCR, while
astonishing improvement in the level of air pollution has also been recorded.
In many areas of Delhi, where the level of PM 2.5 remained 20, the pollution
level was only 69. Air pollution level in Delhi NCR reached 500 in December.
The Central Pollution Control Board and Meteorological
Department say that the situation of air pollution in Delhi-NCR will improve
further by 4 May.
Pictures of clear sky of Delhi are also becoming viral on
social media. For the past few days, due to unseasonal rains, the air quality
in Delhi is improving.
It has been reported in many reports that the Air Quality
Index (AQI) in Delhi-NCR has reached the best level in the last six years.
